United Way of Central Kansas — United for a Stronger Community
United Way of Central Kansas, we believe that lasting change happens when we come together—as individuals, businesses, and organizations—with a shared commitment to build a better future for everyone.
Our Vision
We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to be healthy, pursue their goals, and find success on their own terms. We know that a community can only thrive when all of its members—especially those facing the greatest challenges—have the tools and support they need.
Our Mission
United Way of Central Kansas is dedicated to building:
🔹Healthy Communities — where well-being is a priority and care is within reach.
🔹Financial Security — so families can meet their needs and plan for a stable future.
🔹Youth Opportunity — giving young people the chance to succeed and shine.
🔹Community Resiliency — helping our community rise strong, together, in times of need.
We mobilize people like you to step up and step in so that all can thrive.
Our Focus Areas
All United Way-funded programs align with one of these key building blocks for a strong community:
🔹 Health
Promoting well-being by improving access to health care, reducing substance abuse, preventing child and domestic abuse, supporting senior health, and advancing health education and prevention.
🔹 Education
Creating brighter futures by supporting affordable, high-quality childcare, partnering with families and schools for student success, and offering after-school and mentoring programs that help kids and teens reach their potential.
🔹 Financial Stability
Empowering families to achieve stability and independence by meeting basic needs, improving financial literacy, and offering support like childcare scholarships that help parents stay employed.
